This is the prime area for the Tehachapi Valley, protected from the wind on the foothills of “Black Mountain”. It boasts a view of the valley, Tehachapi peaks, and town that's only 8 minutes away.
This unique location gives what it's residents call the “banana belt winters” that it's famous for, and the early sunsets in summers.
Most residents stay here, making for very few resales. We have personally lived in this area for over 21 years. The Indians enjoyed it, too, with two preserved sites: one with pictographs and another with grinding stones. The community is friendly, and warm evenings bring out the walkers. Lot sizes are usually one half acre studded with oaks and pines, boulders and views.
